In general, I'm happy with this anemometer because it seems to be fairly well-made, sturdy, and very sensitive to light airflow. So it gets the job done, but the problems are with the documentation and software. The printed documentation is in Chinese so I can't make sense of that. The Mastech website has links to download manuals but those don't work, at least not at the moment. I installed the software but it doesn't seem like the USB driver is working or the software itself isn't able to see the anemometer. If you just need this for reading air velocity at a single point in time, you'll probably be fine with this product. If you need to calculate air flow volume and don't read Chinese, plan on fiddling with it a lot to figure out how to set it up.I purchased 2 of these in Amazon. Before, I always order kestrel 3000. The price difference tempted me to order mastertech. I am a farmer that grows broiler birds. I have several farms and my farm managers need to check Humidity, temperature and wind speed. They are important data's we need to look at and monitor.Pros• it looks durable• good design• the display is good•cheaper than kestrel•wind speed reading is fairly accurate (the reading between kestrel and mastertech have a slight difference in reading, but the difference is negligible)Cons•the reading-temperature and humidity- is inaccurate. (I use my kestrel and the humidity/temp sensor inside the broiler building to check it's accuracy at it failed miserably.the kestrel and the building sensor showed a +/-1 degree difference in reading while the mastertech showed 6 degrees difference)I check the outside temperature of the building, (11 am summer time in the Philippines) the mastertech reading was 28°C. The thermometer reading outside my building was 37°C, the kestrel reading was 36.6°C and I felt it was a 40°C!Looks durable, readings seems to be fairly accurate. Delivery was exceptionally fast.instructions are terrible, but it works.The product was what I expectedVery good pricesretuned to big for what I needed it for.Great tool that is well made and easy to use.
