Product Description

The check valve is an important part of any air compressor. The air compressor check valve can be found on almost any compressor out there. The check valve has only one function: to let air flow from one side to the other, while blocking air flow in the opposite direction. Once the compressed air passes the check valve, there is no way it can go back again. 3/4" NPT measures 1.050 on a tape measure, ruler, or caliper MADE IN USA 450 PSI MAX PRESSURE 400 DEG F. Pressure relief valve for compressor.Took care of my leak down issue.as advertised and fast deliveryFirst off, the description is misleading due to it does not state that the compression side of of this valve is sized for 3/4 OD tubes. Many of us buyers don't realize the market offers tube in either ID or OD size, so we don't know to ask the seller which this valve accepts. Secondly, good luck finding the nut and compression ring that do not come with this valve, since code regulations has outlawed compression fittings in refrigeration applications 3/4 OD compression fittings are just about extint. I went to 9 supply house and still don't have the fittings I need. And without a tubing bender 3/4 copper is impossible to bend without kinking. All that being said, unless you already have the fittings you need, you will be much farther ahead to have a hydraulic hose, that will withstand 3-4 hundred degrees , and adapt the proper fittings to your compressor discharge port and the tank inlet port. Plus, the hydraulic hose won't crack from vibration like copper does and less likely to leak at the connections. I hope you that read this heed my advise, I learned the hard way, now your lucky. There seem to be a lot of problems fitting this unit. It is pipe thread on the outlet side and 3/4 compression on the top. That is true 3/4, not the 7/8 OD pipe sold in hardware stores. The correct tubing is used in HVAC. Perfect fit, seems well made. The valve is fine.. but seriously. They do not include the nut and ferrel. . And then when I ask about it they respond and say they don't want to spend an extra 50 cents to keep the total cost down.. I would have paid 2 bucks more!!I used this valve on a 5 HP air coompressor and it worked great. The old valve would trip the 220 breaker on the top end while compressor was pumping high pressure. No problem with this valveWorked great
