I had to order 2 to get it right, since the first one had a quite a bit of sand inside left over from the sandblasting when it was being manufactured. I checked with the manufacturer that this was in fact true, that this can happen. I wish Eagle would just charge $20 more so they could pay for better quality control. There should be NO sand or any kind of other debris inside such air tank!The 2nd compressor I received was perfect and seem to operate as advertised. It is insanely quite and the tank fills up quick. My only concern is with reliability on a product that is just $200. We will just have to wait and see what happens, but I'd like to get at least a full 5+ years of trouble free operation for my money. That would seem fair I think. The compressor seem to be build VERY well and with no corners cut like most of it's competitors in the same price range has done. Eagle seem to have been very careful in it's design and with good attention to detail, and I like that a lot. This compressor is rock-solid! I only gave it 4 stars because of the sand issue and because I question it's reliability at this price range.I am very happy with my purchase and I believe that Eagle is a great company that will also stand behind their customers. When I called them regarding the 1st compressor I got, they were honest with me and didn't try and run me around. They helped me return it with no real hesitation. I will recommend to anyone reading this review to make your purchase through Amazon and NOT Air Compressor Direct, which I originally did with the 1st one that had the sand issue. Amazon is a breeze to deal with and always hassle-free, where the regular old-school hardware kind of store will fight you tooth and nail to get anything done and the return will take forever and so will your refund. HUGE hassle, I'll tell you, and I won't make that mistake again.
