This valve has 1/2" male NPT threads that screw into the tank (1/2" male threads measure about 3/4" in diamter). This valve is a great replacement option for a damaged or worn out valve. I needed a replacement manifold for my mini air tank. The shut down valve was leaking. This one fits the bill. It has both male and female NPT fittings for hose connection in addition to a port for the pressure gauge ( just cap the unused port). The shut off valve is a ball valve which is more reliable.
