ACDelco GM Original Equipment A/C Compressors and Clutches are GM-recommended replacements for your vehicle’s original components. The compressor pumps the refrigerant through the system. The compressor is typically engine driven via the accessory belt, and the clutch on the compressor is used to engage and disengage the compressor. The compressor is lubricated by refrigerant oil. This original equipment compressor and clutch have been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.
100% visual- and leak-tested to ensure the component’s quality and durability
GM-recommended replacement part for your GM vehicle’s original factory component
Offering the quality, reliability, and durability of GM OE
Manufactured to GM OE specification for fit, form, and function
Some of the answers for this part were confusing and/or misleading, you will need to add PAG 46 oil - the part only arrives with little more than an ounce that is meant to keep the internals oiled until it reaches the customer (I believe the total required was 4.4 ounces of oil-with the ounce already in the compressor, you will need three more ounces). I also saw that some might think this for the V6 Camaro - this is also incorrect, the 15-22274 is for the 6.2L only.Though I haven't had this installed very long, I am glad that I made this purchase.Install Note: you will need to purchase a new AC belt, stretch fit belts are not meant to be reinstalled. Also a tip on installing the belt, I tried the Lisle belt tool and the Gates tool - neither worked for an L99 because the tool will hit the Crank sensor - a very easy way to install the belt is without any install tools other than a zip-tie. Watch the Dayco stretch belt install video on YouTube and you will see how easy it can be. Don't let the belt worry you, once I tossed the tools and used a zip-tie I was able to install the belt in five minutes.
